What I did yesterday
- Started my day before sending yesterday’s checking but in addition to what I had already done, I got to study Swift some more. Worked up to Day 69 I got to interact with the Map feature. I always figured that was an extension that had to be downloaded in some way. I guess I never gave too much thought to it since coming from and Flutter & React Native mobile programming background it seems so far away to me.
- I also got to interact with FaceID and TouchID (Not really but I did get to try it out in the simulator). That puts a whole of privacy practices into perspective now. I love that I get to demystify all these thoughts I had and with each passing day, I am more convinced how anything can be learned and adopted.
Today
- Went for my morning walk and there was a particular patch of land that had been razed sometime back and that had me thinking of the effects of fire on plants and that got me pondering on whether razing is beneficial to the land or not because plants do grow soon after it is done. That also had me thinking of when I watched The Killers of the Flower Moon. I have vague memory of a cleansing fire being mentioned and what if this was in relation to that?
- Spent my morning working on my own little implementation of a personal programming log. As the end of my batch draws nearer I can’t help but feel like checkins would not be as consistent and yet I have really come to appreciate the routine where I do my writing and reflecting in the morning then delve into programming with the rest of my day. I so ended up building my little (and very incomplete) version of a programming log on my website
Upcoming
- Diving back into SwiftUI with Day 70. Still on Map integration
